Safe to say that in this day and age, a quality laptop is essential for any tech enthusiast. Even if you fancy yourself more of a PC person, being able to take that computing power with you wherever you go is crucial for both business and pleasure. One challenge that remains ever present is picking the right laptop for you. While a desktop PC is easily customizable to whatever liking you might have, laptops present a bit of a different challenge. Luckily there are a whole slew of options out there to choose from when it comes to laptops, as well as the folks over at DigitalTrends, who have compiled a list of the top 10 laptops available today.
Each has a review and rating attached to them, and pretty much every review includes mention of the machine’s battery life capabilities. After all, what good is on-the-go computing if you have no juice left in the battery? Obviously you can stock up on an extra battery or two, but you already knew that, right?
Let’s run down this list!
1. HP Pavilion dm1z
2. Apple MacBook Air 11.6-inch (2012)
3. Alienware M17x R4
4. Lenovo ThinkPad X230
5. HP Envy 15 (2012)
6. Apple MacBook Air 13.3-inch (mid-2011)
7. Lenovo IdeaPad U310
8. Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook
9. Origin Eon 17-S
10. HP Envy 14 Spectre
Among just the top five selections. two machines (Nos. 1 and 4) mention battery life as one of the pros of the machine, while the Alienware laptop was the only one in the top five to mention battery life as one of its cons. Also impressive is that HP landed two laptops in the top five, and three total in the top 10. Lenovo and Apple each put two laptops in the top 10.
